Recognizing Your Defining Moments

Welcome Back! If you haven't already signed up for my FREE 7 Day video series on "Secrets to Unleashing Success", do it now!!! You won't regret it. :)
Defining moments. We’ve all had them and can recall specific times in our lives when something of great significance happened that catapulted us to the next level of success or pushed us to go the extra mile even when we didn’t feel like it. Often times they exist in our memory as vivid and specific as the moment they occurred. This is how strongly they have impacted us.
Moments can be defining, when they are the right moment at the right time. Equally as significant, however, can be those moments that are not right or which come at the wrong time. When handled appropriately, even the wrong moments can benefit us and help us achieve success. If not handled appropriately, however, these moments can actually prevent us from reaching our goals or delay success from being released in our lives.
In today’s video, I talk about how to recognize your moments and evaluate them to determine if they are right for you when they arrive, and then how to handle them appropriately. Take a few minutes and watch the video, then leave me your thoughts on defining moments below.
Remember, not every opportunity or “moment” is the right one for you. It may sound great and be fantastic, but if it’s not yours, then it will only deter you from your goals, rather than help you reach them. Focus in your pursuit is essential in order for success to be realized.

I couldn’t agree more ~ it is the combination of many moments handled the right way that help us achieve our greatest dreams and true success.
And yes, if you recognize a moment as great but not for you, definitely pay it forward and spread the love!

Krista,
As you point out, our success or failure really does come as the result of a combination of defining moments. Some of these may have even ended in what appeared to be failures. It is in picking ourselves up, learning from these experiences, and moving forward that we eventually find the “sweet spot”.
I think timing also plays a huge role in our defining moments. Sometimes the opportunity can be right but the timing might be wrong. When we pay attention to all of the factors involved we’re able to make our best decisions.
Thanks for the reminder to pay it forward. Yes, it is in helping others that we achieve our greatest success, along with a feeling of satisfaction that we’ve done something to make the world a bit brighter!

Kathy. Appreciate your insight here. I’m all about paying it forward and sharing the value, to me there is no greater feeling than knowing that you have been able to make someone’s day a little brighter by helping them out. Let’s go pay it forward!!! You Rock my friend.

Krista,
Defining moments are precious and pretty rare; however, I’ve found that capitalizing on those times creates a greater abundance of them.
Great reminder to reflect not only on our own growth, but to also lend a hand to those we connect with:)
Love your accent, Krista. You were born to make videos!

Thank you for this post, I will pay more attention to remember others when these potential Defining Moments are presented to me. I haven’t always kept others in mind but that is great advice!

Hi Krista,
I hadn’t really thought about defining moments like this before but it makes so much sense. Thanks for the post. When I get to these moments/opportunities and have to decide which way to go previously I’ve tried to think ok is this assisting me to achieve my goals or not. If not, I’ve just let it go but what you’ve said though really takes it to the next step and it is a truly great idea to pass on the opportunities that aren’t right for me. Love it!

Hey Sally,
I look forward to hearing about your experience with it.
Thanks for stopping by. I didn’t always see moments this way either. I was driving around one day a while back and it hit my like an “ah-ha” and then I tried it and found it worked…the rest you’ve already heard about in the video.

Hey Krista
That was a great video. I have to agree that there is not going to be some big moment like a light bulb turning on that is going to define your business. It’s going to come over a period of moments that all add up over time. Well, that’s what I fell.
Thansk for the post.

@Steve, Absolutely Steve. It’s the combination of several “moments” that end up defining us and leading to our overall success. Well said. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Krista: Defining moments is right on. Your reaction to life happening defines your path. How you react to what happens to you when you wakeup will make it a great day or a bad one. Your journey may hit a bump in the road and do you say the lemon was sour or will you make lemonade? Keep it going Krista.
